Big G and Bob Ruppel had separate stroker motor projects going on this spring. One thing led to another and it became he said he said and here we are having a Shootout. Both motors feature the same cam (Voodoo 60205) although neither knew that at the time of purchase. The piston domes are identical, they both have GM factory iron heads 781 and 049. Big G is trying to keep his 1969 SS appearance stock. Bob isn't forcing any restrictions on his 1972 Nova. Both motors will have 850 carbs and electronic ignitions. The race for fastest BBC on the Big G site could be at stake. Big G's 496 prior to being dropped in.
Some Video of the Nova running. The Voodoo 60205 has a nice rumble. In a few weeks will see if it has the time slips to support it's selection.
