July 17, 2010 - Drove to Benton and got there early for once and was able to make 3 time runs. I tried something a little different. This time was pump gas and left car in drive to shift itself in an attempt to be more consistent! In the 3rd time run I cut a perfect .500 light which bought me the bye run for round #1! The next 3 rounds I treed my competitors and had to hit the brakes on the top end to seal the win. The dial in was 7.84 and ran .88 .90 .89. Round #5 got the Vega Bomb and payback time was here. He went red which put me in the final with Local race hero Dan Smith. I changed the dial to 7.87. I knew I had to cut a good light to beat him. I went .444 red and gave him the win on a double breakout 7.86 on the 7.87 dial. The win was $200 cash. Not bad for a night of fun.
